A unique Gift
Would you like to impress your guests with a gift that is both modern, classy and original?
The polygonal portrait is a modern drawing technique that will fix the image of your love over time.
All artworks are signed and numbered
A digital portrait decomposes the image into polygons of different sizes and shades.
The subject is at once both clearly represented and freed of any redundant details, what is left is the very essence of a person’s expression: the sparkle in their eyes, the arch of their brows, their smile.
The portraits are artistic elaborations of photographs realized through a very manual process, for each polygon that composes the image the artist chooses individually their shape, size and color.
Is it possible to have a preview?
The process of redesigning photography is very laborious and takes a long time: for this reason it is not possible to have a preview of the work.
Of course, today everything can be done by a machine, but machines don’t know anything about souls and emotions and cannot render them.
Below you can see the difference between two portraits: one done by a machine and the other by an artist. The difference in quality and complexity is plain to see.
Ardoq has a background as Architect and Yatch Design expert. He then decied to follow his passion and since 2004 works as an Illustrator, he collaborates with the international magazine Kitesoul and with the publisher Learn with Mummy, for which he has illustrated more than twenty books.
Always fascinated by the portrait, he undertook a personal research that led him to be one of the most appreciated interpreters of the Polygonal Portrait in Italy.
To create the Polygonal Portrait, a good high resolution photo is needed.
However, not any photo will do, it is is important to find one that captures the soul of the subjects.
How does one understand if the photograph is the right one?
The secret to choosing a good photo is in the eyes: the mirror of the soul. If you like the expression the subject has in the picture then you know that you are looking at the right picture.
Print on Baryta 315 Card
Print on paper for enlargements of art, in natural fiber treated on the surface with barium sulfate to enhance the white background.
Offers the best possible print results.
Print on Birch Wood Panel
Direct printing on multilayer wood panel, birch.
The color lay to the surface in a non-homogeneous manner based on the grain of the wood. Personally I consider it a value: it is my intention to perceive, under the color, the physicality of the material.
The wooden panel is 12 mm thick, so it can not be framed, but thanks to a special slot on the back it is possible to hang it with a simple nail.
Printing on metal: Corten (rusted steel)
Direct printing on plate in rusty Corten. The platess are treated to block oxidation and preserve the colors. Under the color you see the roughness of the oxidized sheet: the sign of time on the steel.
A kit for the magnetic fixing of the wall slabs is included in the price. The magnets are easy to install and high-strength.
Print on Corian (acrylic stone)
Soon it will also be possible to have direct printing works on a white Corian plate, 6 or 12 mm thick.

The portrait can be printed in any size and support, however we have seen that our clients tend to prefer the following options:
15,5 x 15,5 cm (6,1 x 6,1 inch) – Very small format – minimum 50 pieces
Used for commemorations, or as a gift for baptisms, weddings.
30 x 30 cm (11,8 x 11,8 inch) – Small size
It is good if you intend to expose a steel plate or a wooden table resting on the shelf of the bookcase; suitable for transport as hand luggage.
40 x 40 cm (15,7 x 15,7 inch) – Medium format
It is the ideal format for printing on wood or metal for a single subject. In case of printing on paper it will be necessary to create a customized frame.
50 x 70 cm (19,6 x27,5 inch) – Large format
This is the dimension suitable for a portrait of a couple in a horizontal orientation, for example a married couple or a mother with a child.
The most sensible answer to the question “how much does it cost?" it would be: “It depends on the image, on the support on which it is printed and on the dimensions."
The variables are many: each work consists of a fixed cost, inherent to the Graphic Project, and a variable cost, inherent in the size of the transport and workmanship.
